    For a newly installed TifTuf Hybrid Bermuda lawn, keep the turf consistently moist for the first 2–3 weeks by watering daily (and more frequently during hot, dry, or windy weather) until the roots establish and the turf cannot be easily lifted. Avoid heavy foot traffic during this establishment period to prevent damage to the developing root system.

    Once established, gradually reduce watering frequency and transition to deeper, less frequent watering. TifTuf is highly drought-tolerant and performs best when watered deeply rather than frequently. Allow the turf to grow to approximately 30–40 mm before the first mow, ensuring no more than one-third of the leaf blade is removed in a single cut.

    Avoid fertilising immediately after installation unless recommended by your turf supplier. Once the lawn is established (typically after 4–6 weeks), apply a quality lawn fertiliser suitable for warm-season grasses to encourage healthy growth, colour, and density.
