Turf Characteristics

  • Suitable Use

Sir Grange Zoysia grass is suitable for:
    • Home Lawns
    • Parks
    • Boutique Gardens
    • Golf Courses
    • Amenity Areas

  • Care Instructions

For a newly installed Sir Grange Zoysia Turf lawn, keep the turf consistently moist for the first 2–4 weeks by watering daily (and more frequently during hot or windy weather) until the roots establish and the turf cannot be easily lifted. Avoid heavy foot traffic during this period. Once established, gradually reduce watering frequency and switch to deeper, less frequent watering. Wait until the grass reaches about 5–7 cm before the first mow. Never mow more than one third of the leaf.

Avoid fertilising immediately after installation unless recommended by your supplier. A quality lawn fertiliser can usually be applied after establishment.

Please note: In some areas it is not recommended to install Sir Grange between May and September; this is climate dependant. Please contact us to discuss installing Sir Grange in your area.

  • Idea Fertiliser

Apply Lawn solutions Premium Lawn Fertiliser once your turf is established. It is specifically formulated for lawns and provides balanced nutrition with both quick- and slow-release nutrients for healthy growth and colour. Remember to follow the manufactures instructions and water you lawn after your fertilise unless stated.

Spring (September–November): The best time to fertilise. This encourages strong growth as the weather warms up.

Summer (December–February): Apply another feed if your lawn is actively growing. Water well after fertilising.

Autumn (March–May): Fertilise to help your lawn recover from summer and prepare for cooler weather.

Winter (June–August): Most warm-season lawns need little or no fertiliser. Cool-season lawns may benefit from a light application if they are still actively growing.
